Five Tips On Buying Fitted Suits For Big Men
Suits are an essential addition to a gentleman's wardrobe. Any chap should have but one suit that they can easily grab from their closets for that sporadic special occasion. You will never know when you get invited to a black tie party, a queen's ball or perhaps, once in a while you would like to get the feel of garbing up like the famous 007 and impress the ladies with your “James Bond” impersonation.
Fashion know-it-alls would tell you that the suit is now following the “less is more” trend. This means the men's suit got to be slimmer more particularly in the shoulder part and have shorter hemlines. This style of suit is known as the fitted suit and is quite atypical as it is considered to be an RTW, which means that you can easily pick it right from the rack.
This may not place as easily with the conventional man who goes through the process of finding a tailor and getting measurements for a tailored suit. This sounds even more skeptical for those men who have a full frame as it would seem that getting a good fit and look in these suits can be difficult. So for the uninformed and the skeptics, here are a few pointers that will clear up your doubts in shopping for the latest fitted suits.
* Choose a suit made up of lightweight fabrics. The fitted must be one that would not only make you look like a distinguished gentleman but can possibly make you look more slender, it is a fitted suit after all. Lightweight materials do the trick. Soft fabrics slightly hug the body and are comfortable to the touch are great choices. A suit made out of bulky fabric can only make you look wider and heavier.
* Opt for black. James Bond was never one to wear light green or bright suits. To impress the ladies, he dressed in basic black. You should too. Dark colors like black or dark blue does the trick into making you look lean and thinner. Why don't you think ladies always look sexy with the little black dress on?
* Go for vertical stripes or solids. Vertical stripes have the effect of making people look taller and line patterns slim out a person's frame. Solids give the suit wearer a smart and polished appearance. Loud and flashy patters can either make you comical or quaint. However, if you really want your suit to have details go for small and subtle patterns.
* The jacket. The norm when it comes to suit jackets is the two-button piece. This style can work for any body type. This is not however a stringent rule. You can go ahead and get a one button jacket for that modish look or perhaps a three-button one to get that slimming effect. Choose according to your preference or on what looks good.
* One vent for one suit. The vents or the slits located at the back of your jacket gives you allowance for movement and also draws attention to your back. Surely guys especially hulky ones need the ladies to focus on their front appearance and not on their backs. So the best advice is to get a single vented jacket. It is enough to allow you more movement but not give you unwanted attention.
